markegiani: Great concept and very deep game. Unfortunately, after Pirates!, we had a lot of similar games which were more interesting (most of 'em). Gameplay and fun are both lacking in Pirates!, but I would recommend it for sure.

Samantha: It took a while to get started, but Pirates was fun because you could do so many things. I would watch my dad play it for hours and never get bored.

Mataeus: Outstanding example of free-roaming open-ended adventure gaming. Find your long-lost relatives as you raid towns, board and steal ships, get locked up in foreign jails, kill Spaniards, sword fight, sail fleets of different ship types, drink in bars, take commissions from kings and dig up buried treasure after following X Marks the Spot maps! Awesome!
